Raj Anadkat in a recent interview talks about reports claiming that he is quitting ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’
Dilip Joshi starrer comedy sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ is one of the most popular and loved Indian shows. Of late, the longest-running daily show has been in the news for multiple reasons. There were rumours doing the rounds that Raj Anadkat, who plays Tipendra 'Tapu' Jethalal Gada, son of Jethalal and Daya Gada is quitting the show. Reacting to such reports, Raj in a recent interview broke his silence and stated that he is an expert in creating suspense.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Raj on being asked about reports of his exit from TMKOC, said, “My fans, my audience, my well-wishers, they all know that I am very good in creating suspense. I am an expert in creating suspense. When the time is right, everyone will get to know.” The actor also revealed that these constant rumours do not really affect or bother him and that he believes that patience always leads to sweet results.

Meanwhile, there are also reports of Shailesh Lodha, who plays Taarak Mehta bidding goodbye to the show. However, nothing is confirmed in this regard. Recently, the show’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi confirmed that Dayaben will return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah but the character will not be played by Disha Vakani.
Disha had played the iconic role of Jethalal's wife Dayaben on the show for ten years from 2008 to 2017. Reportedly, the actress took a maternity break, and ever since then, she has not returned to the show. Interestingly, the entire cast and crew of TMKOC recently celebrated its 14th anniversary with a cake-cutting ceremony on the sets.
